Holy Trinity Brownies

Holy Trinity Brownie Pack is a lively group of 30 girls between seven and ten years old, two young leaders, two warranted Guiders and three adult helpers.
Where: The Trinity Centre
When: Fridays in term time, 5.15 – 6.45 pm
What: The brownies learn and enjoy many new skills and activities, covering a varied programme including first aid, cooking, sports, dance, craft, singing, outings to enjoy nature, swimming, to name but a few. The girls are arranged in groups of six of mixed ages so that new girls have older Brownies looking after them and guiding them.
From time to time, we participate in special initiatives run at local, national or even international level, such as the Olympia badges in summer 2008 to coincide with the Olympic Games. In 2009, the girls are getting involved in two projects under the national “Change the World” programme, learning about and supporting specific charities – Save the Children and Book Aid.
The highlight of each year is the Pack Holiday, and there are often other outings and events arranged for weekends and school holidays. All Brownies are encouraged to attend the Family Services at Holy Trinity.
In 2010 Guiding will be celebrating its Centenary. Our unit will be involved in a number of exciting and varied activities to celebrate this important milestone.
Interested? The unit runs a waiting list for girls who would like to join. We are also keen to hear from any adults who might like to offer some help to local Guiding. This can range from a few hours per year helping with admin to volunteering to become a warranted leader.
