Holy Trinity Girls’ Choir
The Holy Trinity Girls’ Choir currently sing two or three services a month at Holy Trinity and St Mary’s Churches between September and July. During term times we rehearse regularly on a Thursday evening from 6.30 - 7.30pm in the Trinity Centre. The Girls’ Choir are also invited to sing at weddings and is developing repertoire for other occasions too.

There are currently 16 members ranging between 6 and 17 years old. One of the most striking things about the choir is the way in which the older girls care for the younger ones which cultivates a lovely family atmosphere.
Our repertoire is varied. Whilst not discarding the traditional, we also explore contemporary music and have recently been very honoured to have a service setting specially composed for us by Will Todd. The Choir regularly sings 2-part and 3-part works for treble voices and there are opportunities for solo and small group part singing. We regularly sing with the Holy Trinity Adult Choir and on occasion collaborate with the Holy Trinity Boys Choir.
A number of the girls are proficient instrumentalists at various levels. Occasionally, they are given the opportunities to play in the services and this is very popular with the girls and the congregation.
The Choir holds regular social events and at Christmas, we have a carol singing event when we collect for a local charity and then have a party!
We are happy to welcome newcomers – no previous experience is necessary, just a desire to sing and learn.
