St Mary’s Choir

St Mary’s choir is an adult choir of around 16 singers that meets and rehearses once a month.  New members of all voices are welcome.  For further information please contact Steven Salmon (organist and choirmaster) 01483 504915 cathedralview@supanet.com

The present choir was founded in 1989 just after the current organ was installed. The choir quickly grew and soon was singing at the 11.15am Eucharist service on the first Sunday of the month and at the major festivals.  The choir’s repertoire is wide and includes work by living composers, the pioneers of the sixteenth century and much in between.

The choir meets outside the church from time to time for suppers, madrigal session and musical evenings.
