Buildings

The 2 Church buildings in the parish, Holy Trinity and St Mary’s, point us towards God’s character in surprisingly different ways.

St Mary’s:  intimate, enduring, peaceful, mysterious, long-lasting, safe …..

Holy Trinity: glorious, majestic, welcoming, celebratory, hopeful, spacious …..

And there is also the Trinity Centre: a place of gathering; a space where good conversations can be had, where you find refreshment in being with others …..

So, take a look, come and see what is on offer; because, here, there is space for you.

Visiting our churches

Welcoming visitors to our two churches is an important part of the vision of the parish to be hospitable and inclusive.  Both Holy Trinity and St Mary’s are buildings of important historic and architectural  significance where many come to learn about the role each church has played in the life of Guildford. The churches are also places for prayer and reflection and the repositories of both individual and communal memories of celebration and mourning; places where all may come to take time out from busy lives, lift burdens of care and find moments of peace and beauty.

Volunteer stewards give their time to keep the churches open outside the usual Sunday services for visitors to share:

-          St Mary’s Church is open every Thursday through the year and first Tuesday in the month and on Tuesdays, Thursdays  and Fridays in August

-          HolyTrinityChurch is open mostweekdays and some Saturdays from Easter to October and for limited periods around Christmas.

There is ramped access to Holy Trinity church from the High Street.

Usual opening  times: 11 - 3pm
