Christian Aid is one of the main national charities we support. The primary aim of the charity is to combat poverty in the developing world, both by raising money to support local partner organisations and through lobbying on world poverty and trade justice issues.

As well as taking part in the annual national house-to-house collection in Christian Aid Week in May, the parish is active in raising awareness of Christian Aid’s goals of debt cancellation of the poorest countries of the world, and the Fair Trade campaign working for a change to the rules governing international trade to secure a fairer deal for farmers and food producers in the poorest countries. As Christian Aid says, ‘We believe in life before death’.
