Addison Court is the name of Holy Trinity (Guildford) Housing Association:
situated close to Pewley Downs at the end of Addison Road it was opened
in 1967 to provide sheltered housing for those over the age of 55. Over
the last few years the accommodation has been fully modernised and refurbished
inside and out. There are now 31 pleasant bed-sits and one-bedroom flats.
Residents, who predominately will have come from the Guildford area, have
the benefit of living independently and also of community life. The House
Manager enables the house to run well and ensures that there is a personal
centre to the common life.
The Parish supports in a number of ways: the Chapel is used for services
at Festivals, and Social meetings are held regularly with contributions
from members of the congregation. The Management Committee is made up
of members of the Parish who are on the Electoral Roll or live in the
Parish. Addison Court is highly valued by the residents and Charlotteville
in Holy Trinity Ward – it is in our Parish.
Volunteers are required to assist in the smooth running of the Association
that is part of the Parish’s social concern. Anyone who would like
to contribute should contact Sue Cantor Drummond.
