Art, Poetry and Music

The locations of Holy Trinity and St Mary’s Churches make them ideal places for art exhibitions, recitals and concerts in the town centre. Our parish seeks to celebrate and display the work of God’s Spirit in the arts. God speaks to us through the material world and artists can deepen our understanding and appreciation of faith and God. Art can express truth and illustrate the transcendent.

There have been art exhibitions at both churches and recitals and concerts are held regularly at both Holy Trinity and St Mary’s. We have hosted recitals as part of the Guildford International Music Festival and the Guildford Philharmonic Orchestra use Holy Trinity for regular bookings.
