At Holy Trinity & St. Mary's, there is a history of a varied and enjoyable social life, ranging from barbecues and quiz nights to harvest suppers and barn dances. In recent years, to celebrate special events with ever-increasing numbers of people, we have used the space in Holy Trinity church for informal buffet Sunday lunches with great success, as well as for evening functions. We have also built up a pool of loyal helpers so the burden is more widely shared.

The normal pattern of events is a date in the spring when parish supper parties are held in peoples' homes, followed by a daytime event in the summer (maybe after confirmation or first communion) and an evening event in the autumn. Recently these have been supplemented by concerts, choir reunions, and special occasions such as celebrating ordinations and the supper for the Parish Funding Programme. Details are published in the weekly newsletter and the parish mailing of all forthcoming events, but if anyone has any queries they are welcome to ring. Offers of help and suggestions are always gratefully received.
